Resound Sound Ltd. was established by sound editor Chris Roberts to provide post-production sound services to the creative industries

Chris graduated in 1994 from Bournemouth University where he studied BA (Hons) Media Production. After graduation, and a brief spell working in music studios,  Chris began his career in radio, producing short feature items for BBC local stations, Radio 4, Radio 5 and the COI.

In 1997, following two years working as a Sound Assistant in a small independent post-production department, Chris was employed by BSkyB as a Dubbing Mixer. Working in their Audio Post Production Department, he was responsible for the recording and mixing of on-air trailers, programme inserts, and live sports commentaries.

After two years at BSkyB, Chris then became a Foley Recordist at Magmasters in Soho where he was also able to develop his skills as an ADR recordist and mixer, working on many major feature films.

In 2000 Magmasters became part of the company that has evolved to become the UK outpost of Encore. Whilst utilising his existing skills as this new facility developed, Chris became more involved with the sound editing process, working mostly on television drama and feature films. During 2009 he was promoted to the position of Sound Editorial Supervisor. In 2018 Chris decided to work independently by establishing Resound Sound Ltd., working between London and his home in Suffok.

Chris has become a well known figure within the industry. He has been nominated three times for a UK Screen Sound Award as Television Sound Editor of the Year, winning the award in 2008. In 2012 was part of the team that helped win “White Heat” the RTS Craft & Design Award for Best Sound: Drama. This success was repeated in 2015 with the same award being won by “Fortitude”. The bold and compelling drama also won a 2016 BAFTA Television Craft Award Nomination for Sound: Fiction, and the 2016 Association of Motion Picture Sound Award for Excellence in Sound for Television Drama. 2019 has seen Chris be part of the team helping “The ABC Murders” gain a nomination for the 2019  Association of Motion Picture Sound Award for Excellence in Sound for Television Drama, and another RTS Craft & Design Award for Best Sound: Drama for “Pure”

He was part of the governing council of the Association of Motion Picture Sound for over seven years, and for three of those he served as its Chair.
